Nathan Staron is the CEO of The Lithium Battery Co. and has quite the story to tell. After college, Nathan set out to become a commercial pilot and fly helicopters, but after doing some research on lithium-ion batteries, his trajectory changed. From there, he started Lithium Battery Co. in 2014 and began selling 12-volt lithium-ion batteries to several Fortune 500 companies. He visited over a hundred lithium cell factories overseas to hand-select the best cells, and learn about the manufacturing process. His years of research and development have made him an expert in the field of lithium-ion batteries. His focus on creating a better battery experience for his customers has made his company one of the most successful in the industry. Over the next several years, he focused on building custom battery packs for some of the most trusted brands like General Dynamics, SpaceX, Andretti Autosport, and the Power-Pole CHARGE. He's never been afraid of a challenge, and his passion for innovation has led him to create some truly groundbreaking lithium battery technology.

There are many different types of lithium-ion batteries on the market, and it can be difficult to know which one is right for your needs. Lithium batteries are a newer technology that offers a lot of advantages over traditional lead-acid batteries. If you're considering making the switch to lithium, here's what you need to know in order to choose the correct battery for your needs.

Types of Lithium Batteries

There are two main types of lithium batteries: lithium-ion (Li-ion) and lithium-iron (LiFePO4). Li-ion batteries are lighter and more powerful than their LiFePO4 counterparts, but they are also more expensive. LiFePO4 batteries are a good choice if you're looking for a long-lasting battery that won't break the bank. Lithium batteries have a number of advantages over traditional lead-acid batteries. For one, they can be discharged and recharged much more than lead-acid batteries without damaging the cells. Additionally, lithium batteries are not subject to the "memory effect," meaning that they can be recharged at any time without reducing their capacity. Finally, lithium batteries are much lighter than lead-acid batteries, making them ideal for use in portable electronic devices.

How To Choose The Right Lithium Battery

Step 1. What Voltage Do I Need?

The voltage of a lithium battery is an important consideration when choosing a battery for your application. The most common voltages for lithium batteries are 12V, 24V, 36V, and 48V. The first step in determining the voltage your application needs is to identify the maximum voltage that the system can safely operate at. Once you have identified the maximum voltage, you can then choose a battery with a voltage that meets or exceeds this number. For example, if your application requires a maximum voltage of 24V, you would need to choose a 24V battery or higher. Choosing a higher voltage battery will provide more power and longer run times, but it may also be more expensive. Ultimately, the decision of which voltage to choose depends on your specific needs and budget.

Step 2. What Capacity (AH) Do I Need?

Next we are going to take a look into how much capacity in amp hours (Ah) you need. If you are replacing lead acid or AGM batteries, you can find out how many Amp hours are being used by checking for a "reserve amp hour" number. Lead acid and AGM batteries have around 50% usable capacity, which means that if you have a 12V 100AH battery, you only have 50AH of usable power. With a lithium-ion battery, you have 100% usable capacity, which means that your 12V 100AH lithium-ion battery has 100AH of usable power. This can be a significant advantage when choosing a battery for your needs.

Step 3. Where And How To Buy.

If you're looking for a lithium battery, you have a lot of options these days. You can find them for sale online from a variety of different companies. However, not all of those companies are equally reputable. Some have little experience and are simply reselling lithium batteries from China that may be of questionable quality. Here at Lithium Battery Company, we take a different approach. We've personally visited hundreds of factories in order to source the best possible lithium-ion cells and battery management system for our products. We want our customers to be completely satisfied with their purchase, which is why we only offer the highest quality batteries on the market. When you buy from us, you can be confident that you're getting a battery that will meet your needs and provide years of reliable service.

That is why we offer a full 11-year warranty on our products. We also have a team of in-house engineers that are available to answer any questions you may have about choosing or using a lithium battery. So, if you are in the market for a high-quality, reliable lithium battery, be sure to check out Lithium Battery Company.
